I was honored when Kim Nichols from Savvy Southern Style agreed to
have me do a feature Post onSavvy Southern Style. But first let me tell you a little bit about Kim. This is one of my favorite pages and blogs to visit and I do so frequent.
When I first approached Kim I had asked her I would Love to do a Feature on her Trophy Ebay win and that I thought She was a Creative Designer. Just take her House Tour and you will see for yourself . I encourage that, I told her I could move into her home and just be happy forever. Kim wrote back and said she was not a Designer just a empty nester I am not a designer. Just a person who likes to constantly change things in my home. I wrote her back and told her the following. Well with that said I heard if you spend 10,000 hours on any field or topic of interest or 20 hours a week for 10 years. You are considered an expert and in that field or area of interest. Yes it Shows Kim you are a Designer. And We Love it.
Here is where l it all began I was reading this post one night and Kim made me smile.
First I related to the whole Ebay incident. I have stayed up many of nights to make a win on something I had wanted.And I was thinking how many times myself bidding against someone I probably over paid to not let them win. I also am a sniper I will wait till the last 30 seconds and then put my bid in. I have won allot doing it that way.But as I was smiling I was also thinking by Kim’s win that she was so excited about,this beautiful Trophy I was thinking this is how you make a Beautiful Home. Kim waits and collects certain pieces and finds a place in her home that it fits perfect and she does it well. A Home is made up of pieces with a collection of stories attached to them. That’s what makes a Beautiful Home and Kim at Savvy Southern Style has it. Her finished painted furniture pieces could be sold at a High End Designer Stores.

Next we will go into what Kim calls The Equestrian Room, and that is where her prized Ebay win The Trophy is for now.

This cabinet was lovely but was replaced by a real Beauty but the Beautiful Horse equestrian hunt theme sign ,that was a great find from Ethan Allen. But you will see the sign moves.
Antique French vaisselier replaced the bookcase. And the Ethan Allen Horse is on top . Beautiful, here holds the silver Trophies that Kim has collected and really this French vaisselier is just Spectacular. But it’s those litte finds that makes a house a home. Those interesting pieces and Kim knows that and tries to show all of us how to have a Luxe Home without paying the price. Here is another Trophy she collected.
Here is the Lovely Trophy Ebay win . But I think the next picture might have started the whole design. The wonderful Ethan Allen find.
