Handmade Holidays: Christmas Craft, Recipe and Gift!

So how are your handmade holidays coming along? I’ve got almost all of my gifts done, and I’ve decided what to make for my Christmas celebrations – gingerbread cupcakes! Sounds delicious, right? In case you are in need of some last-minute holiday craft, recipe and gift ideas for this weekend…we are here to help you out!

Heather from The Lovely Cupboard created a holiday canvas lightscape by painting on plain white canvases and and poking Christmas lights through the back of the canvas, which she was inspired to do from Apartment Therapy. All you need to do is pencil dots on the back of the canvas and press an awl through the hole to make space for the lights. Secure each light with craft glue and your beautiful lightscape is ready! See more of her beautiful and festive mantle by clicking on the above photo or the link for The Lovely Cupboard.

Kate shared this Copycat Williams Sonoma Peppermint Bark recipe on her Food Babbles, and it looks so delicious! I have to admit, I’ve never experienced the wonderfulness that is the Williams Sonoma peppermint bark, so I don’t really have anything to base this off of – but I definitely want to give this recipe a try! You can check out this recipe and more by clicking on the link or the photo above.

And what’s better than an ornament as a gift? One that you can consume, of course!

This peppermint cocoa ornament is super cute and fun, and Tiffany from creme de la crumb says that it only took her one hour to assemble. You will need all the ingredients for the mocha, a clear ornament like this and a funnel. Removing the ingredients is simple – just open the ornament up and pour it out! You could also do this with dry cookie mix and even write a cookie recipe on the ornament! Get the full tutorial by clicking on the link and photo above.

Homemade Holidays: Christmas Craft, Recipe and Gift!

Hello friends! If you are reading this, I can safely assume that you survived Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday – hopefully without losing any appendages! Can you believe there is a little less than three weeks until Christmas – the holiday the crafting world has been gearing up for since Halloween came to a close?!

While I did have to do a little shopping, I’ve decided to make most of my presents by hand! Mostly because I love to craft, and a little because that’s what my budget demands (ok, maybe it’s the other way around). Starting today, I will be sharing a Christmas craft, recipe and gift for you to make at home for the next couple weeks. So let’s get started!
